Virginia was born in Pescara - Italy in a beautiful year of incredibly close to the current day. After a sweaty artistic diploma (it was July after all) she attends the Accademia di Belle Arti (Fine Art) of L'Aquila , where to fight the cold she is forced to get involved in other activities. She begins by rubbing her hands on hers arms like the movie Philadelphia , but after a bit she feels stupid and she begins to study photography, just to leave a memory of herself in case (probably) that she will dies freezing. In 1997 she gets then the qualification of Advertising Photographer (with a scholarship from Regione Abruzzo). But it's not enough, the cold goes on and Virginia in order to survive puts herself to the test whit the creatures more iperkinetics of the universe: the children. From 1998 to 2001 she works as an Art Operator of New Educational Methodologies at the MUBAQ (Children Museum in L'Aquila) located in the Sixteenth-century Castle of L'aquila where she works in the laboratories. Under the local supervision overseer. The children appreciate this, and they understand that Ninja Turtles are cool, but also the Abruzzo's art wooden is not so bad! In 2001 she obtain a Academy diploma, with the thesis: "Transgression in photography" and the score of 110/110 with laud winning the first prize for Best Thesis and the scholarship from CARISPAQ. The power of Virginia's thesis is so strong that just by reading it aloud a few random sentences can convert instantly a religious association to Swingers Club. Now Photography is not enough for her anymore, she begins to experiment with the computer... it's love at first "Vista", even if Virginia doesn't use Windows but Mac. After a short seminar of Virtual Scenography for the application Macromedia Director in multimedia shows, her life turns, it's now digital animation that fills her nights in front of the monitor. Then she attends a course for graphic design and gets the qualification of Web Designer . In the same year she makes the short films in Flash animation for the virtual scenography of the show "Once upon a time in the Castle... " by Lea Contestabile at the Auditorium in the Sixteenth-century Castle of L'aquila. The orchestral is appreciative, also because virtual scenography is less painful than the physical one in case they fall on you. In 2004 she cuts her dreadlocks. That day she says: "I will be happy only when my hair is pink". It's an extremely ambitious objective, but Virginia is brave and determined to get it. She begins the happy collaboration with MIMAI.IT , creative graphic and communication Agency. She produces the spot Artists against Coca Cola , a collective exhibition at the social centre Forte Prenestino in Rome and the graphic campaign for boycotting NOCOCACOLA during Torino's Winter Olympics Games. Her hate against the Coca Cola stems from much money that she spends fruitlessly in the attempt to get some effect mixing Coca Cola with aspirin. The attempts were so many that now Virginia, as Obelix, is completely immune to headache. In 2005, she finds herself at University by chance, and she is assigned the teaching of Digital representation of Technology. The teaching continues today. On Christmas night of the 2006, she thinks sees a comet, instead it is Francesco M.De Collibus , that crashes into her at mad speed with his "vespetta". After the friendly statement of fact, the hit-and-run driver proposes to her the realisation of the animation short movie "Thy will be done", Virginia believes that this is a good and right thing and she doesn't have to hear it twice and their collaboration continues still now... In 2007 she had 3 stones on her gall bladder removed but she says to everyone that she got these scars in Vietnam war, in order to instill respect and fear. Virginia today lives and works in Pescara and she has pink hair, and she is therefore in all respects a happy woman. by Francesco M. De Collibus
